Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) - Any content involving minors in sexual contexts
- Illegal Content - Content promoting illegal activities, terrorism, or violence
- Extreme Violence - Gore, death, torture, animal abuse
- Adult Content - Explicit nudity, pornography, or sexual acts
- Hate Speech - Racism, Nazi symbols, extremist content targeting protected groups
- Dangerous Content - Self-harm promotion, suicide encouragement
- Harassment & Doxxing - Targeted harassment or sharing private information
- Malware & Phishing - Content designed to harm users or steal data
What's Allowed
- Memes & Humor - Including edgy or dark humor (within legal bounds)
- Political Satire - Critique and satire that doesn't cross into hate speech
- Artistic Content - Classical art, medical/educational nudity with context
- Cartoon Violence - Non-realistic animated violence
- Controversial Opinions - As long as they don't promote violence or hate
How Content Moderation Works
1. AI Screening
Every uploaded image is automatically screened by our AI vision system that checks for: illegal content, violence, adult content, hate symbols, and dangerous material.
2. Confidence-Based Review
Content flagged with high confidence or containing critical violations is blocked immediately. Lower confidence flags are sent to our human moderation team for review.
3. User Reports
Community members can report inappropriate content. Critical reports (illegal content) automatically disable the content pending review.
4. Human Review
Our moderation team reviews flagged content and user reports to make final decisions.
How to Report Content
If you see content that violates our guidelines, please report it:
- Click the "Report" button on any meme or profile
- Select the violation type (illegal content, violence, etc.)
- Provide additional details if needed
- Submit - our team will review within 24 hours (critical reports reviewed immediately)
Note: False or malicious reports may result in account restrictions.
Enforcement Actions
Content Removal
Violating content is removed from the platform immediately.
Account Suspension
Temporary bans for minor or first-time violations.
Permanent Ban
Immediate and permanent ban for illegal content (CSAM, violence, etc.)
Law Enforcement Cooperation
Illegal content (especially CSAM) is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law.
Appeals
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may appeal by contacting support@fatmemes.net with your account details and explanation. Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days.
Legal Compliance
FatMemes complies with U.S. federal laws including 18 U.S.C. § 2258A (CSAM reporting), the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and maintains procedures for responding to law enforcement requests. We maintain logs and cooperate with investigations involving illegal content.
